La Ilah Ila Allah

I have scanned events throughout time that I considered to be hardships, obstacles that could have descended Muslims to an oblivion state and deviated them off-track to a destination of unmeasured chaos. Among those are :

1- The death of The prophet Peace Be Upon Him :

Shock the faith of many, even a man who had so much faith as Omar could not believe that his friend, mentor and messenger died. Arabs started converting and Abu Baker along with the companions of the prophet -Peace Be Upon Him- stood firmly in the face of it and due to their effort this nation stood mightily high saying: لا إله إلا الله*

2- The killing of Othman third caliph :

unstoppable like wildfire, the mob were inciting revolutions, causing upheavals, and harming the nation. Shaking its belief, more or less the national security was on the line but again most passed the test as they have said: لا إله إلا الله

3- The time of the fourth caliph Ali bn Abi Talib:

The four years which involved battles between the companions themselves. To quote one of them "we have fought Romans and Persians too, but never have we fought with the same brutality as we did fighting one another" the outcome easily exceeds 100 thousands killed many of which are companions of the prophet peace be upon him. Yet today and after all this time and bloodshed we still say: لا إله إلا الله

4- The killing of al Hussein –Grand Son of the prophet Peace Be Upon Him- :

The look alike of his grand father peace be upon him. "enough said as words cannot express such shattering event " and the split of this nation to Sunni and Shiite, but you know what لا إله إلا الله is still said and believed.

5- The battles between Abdullah bn al Zbair and Al Hajaj (the famous tyrant)

The death of Abdullah marked the loss of the best knight, the modest worshiper, and most eloquent Foseha "Classical Arabic" speaker. As al Kaaba was destroyed and burned to the ground. Rebuilt and demolished again (can you imagine this happening today?)

6- The black stone being stolen not for a day not a month but for 20 years!

Muslims cried for help as they wanted to pay a ransom of 50 thousand Denair to take it back from al Qaramtah " a movement that took place in today's ahsa" people still went to do their pilgrimage based on

7- The Baramekah's crisis,

a family of Persian origins at the Abbasid era of considerable political and financial influence, and the result which followed as two the two sons of Harun Al rashaeed fought one another to claim power and control.

8- The heresy of Quran's creation

Which was forced for people to adopt and how al Imam Ahmad stood like a mountain in the face of it all for 28 months of daily torture because he refused to follow orders! It was printed in their hearts to say لا إله إلا الله and they've passed it on to us.

9- The fall of Baghdad

as Mongols and the horror which they have caused. The hair-raising acts, forced many to speculate the end of Islam when Mongols themselves ended up saying

10- The early days of the west occupation to the Islamic world

The many attempts by some governments to take key identities from its people like language and religion but they still say

Conclusion

After all these events there can only be one thing to grasp and hold on to. It is printed on the Dollar bill; "In God we trust". It’s a divine oath, a promise by the king of all kings and a challenge that is still as fresh as it was declared 1400 years ago:

Quote:

We have, without doubt, sent down the Message; and We will assuredly guard it (from corruption).
